your bike looks great. i love this style. i’m building this same bike, but i’m having a problem with the wiring. i tryed using the redneck harness, and calling them up, but they were useless. would you have a wiring diagram, or could you point me in the right direction. any help would be great. thank you for your time.

Yah…I did the same thing. I bought one of their harnesses, then ended up turfing it out. The instructions they gave with it suck. It’s a lot easier to just make it up yourself. Here’s the link to the wiring diagram that I used. It’s simple to install and works like a charm. Hope that helps.

There’s the breather filter connected to the anodized red hose clamp. There’s also an oil pressure gauge.

How much money did you invest in this project? I’m thinking about building one myself, and I’m trying to get an idea of how much money i’ll need to start with.

    Hi Jim
I spent about 13,500 on mine but it’s possible to build a Redneck Mutant for under 10k. There are cheaper Buell frame kits, but I prefer the Redneck Mutant. The quality is worth spending the bucks on. Especially when it comes to the frame. I’ve heard horror stories of necks breaking off the frame whilst riding on the highway.

Is there a name for the this particular frame you picked, What is the rake on this style of frame, this is a cool front end. Also, Did you use the same whells and tires off the Buell. Funk

i am sure they have several styles. this particular style is cool. Did you use the same wheels and tres from the donor. Funk

This is just the standard Mutant Buell frame kit.
There are a couple of different styles…
The drop seat model, Mutant curves, a Bobber, and frames to use with XB model Buells.
I used the rear wheel, pulley, and the complete front end including the triple trees. You can also order them with frames to fit pretty much any size of tire you want.

I am planning to build a redneck chopper. I have a 1999 m2 and a 2004 xb12s, and am undecided as to which one to use as the donor bike, any advice?

    Hi Brad
The most popular are 99-04 tube frame models. Have a look at this article I have on selecting a donor for your Mutant chopper build. Let me know if you have any questions after reading it.

    Dan,
What is that billet piece you have covering your transmission drive sprocket. And where can I get one?! Thanks.
    Best,

    Hey PJ
I bought it from a guy on Ebay that makes them in his shop. It was quite a while ago so I’m not sure if he still makes them. His username is clown4444 if you want to search him out.
