Can’t remember the name of the company, but a few years back there was a kit called the “wrecking Ball” It was a total conversion kit for Sportys, basicaly you used parts from your bike and with what else came with the kit,you ended up with a pretty nice rigid Sporty. Anyboby familiar with it?

  8. admin on May 12th, 2010

Have you seen this frame from Redneck Engineering? The Mutant Buell Mono Shock Chassis. They call it the “Overtaker”. It’s not cheap though.

  9. admin on May 12th, 2010

Oops… It doesn’t look like it will take the stock shock and swing arm either. Is it an XB Buell that you are using for your donor?

  10. Ted Valdez on May 15th, 2010

no it is a m2 cyclone

  11. Ted Valdez on May 15th, 2010

boy you were not kidding about the not cheap thats a bit up there.

  12. Dan on May 15th, 2010

Yep… but they are well worth it. Redneck frames are as good as they get in terms of engineering, quality and finish.

Steve is the same Dusche posting crap all over the net. ive read his posts on that crap clubchopper board. not supprised he’s here too.

truth is I bought a NEMESIS from the guys at REDBARRONCHOPPERS and it is NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. ive built 10 other bikes and NONE of them are as easy to build or handle near as well. Im sick of you retards at CC spewing your crap all over about good companies. you guys are all the same you get a good deal ( we’ll lower than you deserve ) andthen when your faced with the fact you dont know what the hell your doing you blaime the guy that sold it to you…. typical.

crawl back into your hole you retard. If there were ANY degree of truth to your bullshit why do they have so many repeat buyers?

    The magazines dig em too

I dont work for RBC but someone should set the record staight and tell this fucktard to shut the hell up. as a saticfied and soon to be 2nd time buyer im happy to do it

If Custom Cycle Developments wasn’t across the pond I’d be all over them, they’ve got some seriously nice stuff, and from the sound of things you can opt for a chromoloy frame. Being in the bike (bicycle) industry for many years in the past I can honestly say I wouldn’t touch mild steel if I had a choice for going chromoly. Lighter, stronger better!

i dont like redneck the redneck frame is uncomfortable to ride for most who want a cruiser not a streetfight the list of buell conversion companies are down, choppers guys had a bad ass fxr frame , anyone got a one to sell or know who got one similar tell me

Don’t go with Red Barron. My buddy got their frame as a gift from his dad. He went through HELL trying to fix it so it was right. Motor mounts were diagonally off by 1 1/4 ok it sucks in for welding I get it but 1 1/4? Then had to fix the rear because that was off by half an inch. Then the rear motor mount bolts holes were off so he had to fix that. Go with Redneck or Twisted Choppers friends have both of their frames, 2 Twisted, 1 Redneck and both companies do really good work, I have personally spoke and dealt with Redneck and they are great.

  19. rick on December 26th, 2010

looking for softtail frame for 74 sportster

  20. G on January 11th, 2011

Yeah Red Barron Choppers are thieves, cheats, they don’t deliver when they say, tried to sell me a frame that they fucked up for half price (luckily I caught the screw up!), and been waiting for two months on a part that was “only gonna take a couple days”. Screw ‘em!!

  21. Rockett on May 7th, 2011

Looking for a frame with as little space as possible around the motor, and a normal rake, that a 73 ironhead will bolt into. Nothing fancy, possibly drop seat. This is a budget project. Seems like no one builds these…?

Demons cycle has some good lookin frames they are not year specific. Does anyone know if the motor mounts are the same? I have 99 sporty

  25. aldo sandrinelli on September 19th, 2012

Dirty south choppers (original company from Virginia) is a scam. Micheal Weimer rubbed me 1200 dollars, he denied his scam for months and months, making me lose very very precious time, not only money. I can only say that he is a thief and a crook Sorry, my english is very bad. Peace

  26. aldo sandrinelli on September 19th, 2012

postcript, I have the documents to prove what I say

  27. Jeff on February 24th, 2013

ive had 3 redbarron frames all great. not one complaint. seems to me every time i read a complaint about them it has to do with the wait time… look at it this way: wait times are due to a huge order list… honstly, if they sucked people like me wouldnt keep coming back.

we live in a world full of people who expect everything to be just “add water and stir” it aint like that kids…real quality takes time…real quality IN DEMAND takes even longer and all the whining in the world isnt going to change that… if you cant handle the wait then im sure china has your frame ready to go… nuff said.

Redbaron has had problems for years, theres multiple postings on the XL forum about the problems. Odd this Jeff guy defends them as there are multiple postings as well about Red Barron choppers going out of business as well as a liquidation sale. the Iowa BBB has multiple complaints on file as well and a F rating for the company. Last i checked the phone was disconnected. Theres a lot of fly-by-night choppr shops that come and go. stay away from ones like Red Barron that have so many complaints. Or do your research and go ON SITE as well, dont rely on internet postings. I looked at buying a redBarron frame, and it needed too much rework for me. Id rather buy something that is at least straight and built well. You get what you pay for.

  29. Zach on May 17th, 2013

If you search for any of the red Barron kits they are under another name

  30. John on May 24th, 2013
